
Dr. Mohammad Delwer Hossain Hawlader, PhDHealthcare Management Specialist
Dr. Mohammad Delwer Hossain Hawlader, PhD is a medical, scientific professional with 20 years of professional experience, including more than 13 years’ experience in health research, consultancy, project management and seven years’ experience teaching in public health. Currently, he has been working as an Associate Professor in the Dept. of Public Health at North South University (NSU). Dr. Hawlader also worked as a Visiting Associate Professor at Hiroshima University, Japan, and Assistant Professor at the Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS). Dr. Hawlader has achieved a PhD degree from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, in 2014. Before this, he acquired Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Karolinska Institute, Sweden, in 2006 and MBBS (the equivalent of MD) from Dhaka University in 1999. Notably, Dr. Hawlader received a prestigious Japanese Government Scholarship (Monbukagakusho Scholarship) for his doctoral study. Regarding his consultancy, he worked as a Team Leader for the Revision of National Hygiene Promotion Strategy 2021. He also worked as Health Consultant - Public Private Partnership Authority (PPPA), Prime Minister’s Office, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Health Management ExpertMinistry of Finance, Kabul, Afghanistan.During his research period, Dr. Hawlader had worked in the International Center for Diarrhoeal Diseases Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b). The majority of his research projects were based on international collaboration with world-renowned universities and were funded by different donor agencies. His research articles have been published in reputed international peer-reviewed journals. Two of his book chapters were also published by reputed international publishers. One of his research papers is awarded as the best paper of the year 2015 by the “Journal of Tropical Medicine and Health.”
