Mr. Ashish Kumar is from India. He completed his Post-Graduation in Social Work in 2005 from University of Delhi, India. He has 16 years of professional experience in planning and executing Social Safeguards and Gender components in Infrastructure and social projects. He has worked for government companies, public sector units , multinational companies and NGOs. He has successfully completed infrastructure and social projects funded by ADB, World Bank, JICA, NDB and IsDB banks at national and international level. He has successfully implemented the social safeguards and gender components in the following project areas: Water Supply, Sewerage, Highways, Rural Roads, Urban Development, Canal irrigation, Agriculture, Power & Education. He has Sound Knowledge of World Bank Operational Policies (Social safeguards) & ESS, ADB’s Safeguard policy Statement (SPS 2009) and NDB (BRICS Bank) Environment and Social Framework 2016. Presently He is working with Sofreco Engineering as Social Safeguard and Gender Specialist in Nakhchivan Republic, Azerbaijan on intermittent basis in ADB funded Irrigation and Drainage System Development Project.
