
Abdullah Al Mahmud, Barrister - at - LawPPP Contract Specialist
Mr. Mahmud is an enrolled Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. After obtaining his LL.B. (Hons.) degree from University of London, UK in 2008, he completed the bar vocational course from City Law School, City University, London. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales from Lincoln’s Inn, London, in 2010. Mahmud is also an Affiliate of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (ACCA).Mr. Mahmud has vast experience as a Legal and Policy Expert both in Bangladesh and overseas. He has been involved in many infrastructure projects funded by GOB and donor agencies like ADB, JICA and World Bank. Mr. Mahmud carried out legal due diligence and legislative reviews and provided legal opinions relating to public private partnership (PPP) laws, infrastructure development matters, public procurement issues, general commercial and corporate law, mergers and acquisition and insurance law. He represents various local and multinational clients in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and in the subordinate courts in various writ, company law, labor law, other civil matters and a few criminal matters. He also advises numerous international companies and entities to establish business in Bangladesh and assists the promoters to incorporate companies, trusts, societies and other entities for national/international clients.
