Kenneth Legesi is a dual civil engineering/infrastructure and finance/investment professional with extensive experience in the delivery of infrastructure projects across the asset lifecycle for both public and private sector clients. He possesses over 18 years’ proven experience in providing programme management, transaction advisory and project execution services for Lenders, Governments and Investors in infrastructure projects across different geographies and industries as part of the project preparation and financing process for various infrastructure types. This covers financial and investment structuring, economic/financial analysis and modeling, programme management and advisory, preparing feasibility studies, undertaking due diligence, preparation of transaction materials, developing contract documentation and gaining successful financial close and post financial close implementation. This includes experience as a financial advisor at Deloitte, initially in the UK and then in East Africa, based in Uganda. Previously, Kenneth trained and began his career as a civil and environmental engineer worked with engineering firms in Uganda and the UK including Atkins Plc (now SNC Lavalin), Black & Veatch, Royal Haskoning and Proman Consult rising to Senior Engineer and later Consultant / Transaction Advisor for Infrastructure & Real Asset projects. He has advised on pioneer infrastructure deals across the globe including in Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Nigeria, Middle East, Asia, UK & Europe. Relevant assignments he has completed include: Kampala Jinja Expressway PPP Project Review; Feasibility Study and Transaction Advisory for PPP Projects in Afghanistan; Panyimur Geothermal Energy Project; Muharraq Wastewater PPP Project Lenders’ Advisor; PPP Training Workshop for the Kenya PPP Unit; Transaction Advisor for the 2nd Nyali Bridge PPP Project; Uganda PPP Committee Benchmarking Study, UK; Transaction Advisor for the Kigali Logistics Platform PPP Kenneth holds a BSc (Hons) in Civil Engineering from Makerere University and an MSc (Distinction) in Environmental Engineering with Business Management from Imperial College London. He has completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Program and is a CFA Charterholder.
